Kelly Cass is an On-Camera Meteorologist at The Weather Channel. She joined the network in January 2000. Before that, she spent seven years as the morning weekday meteorologist at WRGB-TV, the CBS affiliate in Schenectady, NY. During her time at WRGB, she won the New York State Broadcasting Award for “Best Storm Coverage” for her work during the Blizzard of ’93.
Cass has presented several Special Reports on The Weather Channel, including a feature on being selected for a flight in an F-A 18 jet with the “Blue Angels” unit of the U.S. Navy.
Originally from Poughkeepsie, Cass has always had a special interest in lake effect snow and is fascinated by all extreme weather, including tropical storms. She developed this interest in weather as a child and decided to focus on TV journalism and study meteorology while in college. Cass believes that weather is something we all experience and talk about, which led her to pursue a career in TV weather.
Cass started her career as an Associate Producer and later became a weeknight weathercaster at WTZA-TV (now WRNN), an independent station in Kingston, NY. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Adelphi University and has a certificate of international study from Yonsei University in Seoul, SK. Cass also has the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association, a Broadcast Meteorologist certificate from Mississippi State University, and is a full member of the American Meteorological Society.
When she’s not watching the snow fall, Cass is active in various sports, such as soccer, softball, and tennis. She also studied Taekwondo while in Korea and achieved her red belt. Cass and her husband have three young children.

Albert Lincoln Roker Jr., born on August 20, 1954, is a well-rounded American figure known for his expertise as a weather forecaster, journalist, television personality, actor, and author. Currently, he serves as the weather anchor on NBC’s Today show. Additionally, Roker is also an unofficial co-host on the Third Hour Today, although NBC News has not made an official announcement about it. In his pursuit of pushing boundaries, Roker made a notable attempt to break a world record for the longest uninterrupted live weather report.
