F9, also known as F9: The Fast Saga or Fast and Furious 9, hit the theatres in 2021. The first release was on May 19, 2021, in South Korea. The US theatrical release date was on June 25, 2021.
Universal Pictures wanted to release the film in April 2019. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the release of Hobbs and Shaw, the date was pushed further.
The official trailer for the film premiered on January 31, 2020. A second trailer was uploaded on April 14, 2021. The film was shot in several locations, including London, Thailand, and Los Angeles.
As the name suggests, it is the ninth installment in the main Fast and Furious series. And it has a run time of 143 minutes, i.e., 2 hours and 25 minutes. The official budget was around $200-225 million. It grossed a staggering $726 million in total revenue.
There are already talks for a sequel, with May 19, 2023, as the target date.
When is F9 coming to DVD?
Fast and Furious 9 DVDs hit the shelves on September 21, 2021. It was released by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Along with the cinema version, the DVD, Blu-ray, and Ultra HD Blu-ray also contain a director’s cut. It has 7 additional minutes not featured in the theatrical release.
The DVD and Blu-ray versions of F9 were released in the UK by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Plus, an ultra-high-definition SteelBook is also available for the movie.
When will F9 be released digitally?
The film is available in Digital HD from iTunes and Amazon Video. It was released on September 7, 2021. VOD (Video on Demand) rentals are also available in the United States since July 30, 2021.
