Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry on the popular TV show Glee, honored the late Cory Monteith on the 10th anniversary of his untimely passing. Monteith was Michele’s on-screen and off-screen partner who portrayed Finn Hudson on Glee.
Michele dedicated a heartfelt post on Instagram to Monteith, by sharing a photograph of them in their iconic character roles. The image showed the couple, as Finn and Rachel, walking arm in arm. She captioned the photo: “Forever a tribute in my heart.”
Monteith, at the age of 31, was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on July 13, 2013. His death was due to a mixed drug toxicity of heroin and alcohol. His sudden passing shocked the Glee cast, crew, and fans around the world, and his absence has been felt ever since. The tribute from Lea Michele is a testament to the close bond the two shared on and off the set of Glee.
