Dennis Quaid initially hesitated to portray Ronald Reagan in the new biopic, saying, “I didn’t think I was the guy.”
At first, Quaid doubted he could accurately capture Reagan’s essence. He felt unsure about his ability to do justice to such an iconic figure. This uncertainty made him reluctant to accept the role.
Interestingly, sometimes we doubt ourselves more than others do.
Eventually, though, Quaid changed his mind. He decided to embrace the challenge and take on the part. His perspective shifted, and he began to see the opportunity as a way to push his acting skills further.
