The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have recently been commemorated at the renowned TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. The quartet of crime-fighting turtles took part in a special handprint ceremony to honor their 37 years of history and impact on pop culture worldwide.

“Our film has traveled the globe, and to have our four heroes immortalized in front of the TCL Chinese Theater is really something special. It’s a moment that truly captures the spirit of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” said ViacomCBS Executive Vice President for International Licensing, Pamela Kaufman. “We’re thrilled to be part of this historic celebration, and it’s an honor to have the turtles celebrated alongside so many incredible and iconic figures in entertainment,” Kaufman continued.

First emerging as comic book characters in 1984, the turtles have since become a global phenomenon, spanning movies, television series, and merchandise. The franchise shows no signs of slowing down as it is set to release an all-new CGI movie in 2023. This achievement adds to the Ninja Turtles’ ever-growing list of accomplishments and proves that their legacy will remain cemented in popular culture for generations to come.
