Scott Derrickson, the director of “Doctor Strange” and “Sinister,” has disclosed that his contribution to the forthcoming anthology horror film “V/H/S/85” is set in The Black Phone Universe. The universe is drawn from author Joe Hill’s short story collection “20th Century Ghosts.”

“Not only am I indeed doing a segment of V/H/S/85,” Derrickson said, “but that segment is set within the world of my forthcoming film The Black Phone (co-written and produced by C.
