Bruce Nolan has had several misfortunes in his life and he blames God every time. After a particularly horrible day, Bruce’s complaining is way over the top and God is sick of it. God responds to Bruce and meets him in human form. After convincing Bruce that he is indeed God, he endows Bruce with all his powers and gives him his job. Bruce hilariously abuses his powers at first, but after hearing the prayers of others and losing his girlfriend, he realizes that he’s neglected the things that matter most and that being God is not easy. God cannot alter a person’s freewill, so if Bruce wants to win his girlfriend back, he is going to have to do it the hard way.
