Overview

David is a science fiction writer who has been grieving the death of his wife for two years. He meets a six-year-old foster boy, Dennis, who has strange habits and claims he is from Mars. David, who was himself strange as a child, decides to take the boy into his home for a trial period. At first, David is convinced that Dennis has his strange habits as a coping mechanism for the difficulties he’s had in his young life. David’s sister, Liz, and Harlee, his wife’s best friend, try to give parenting advice, but as Dennis spend more time with them, David, Liz, and Harlee, who becomes a mother figure to the child, begin to wonder if there is any truth to the boys claim.
