Overview

Living in Monstropolis, Mike and Sully are monsters and best friends who work at the local power plant, Monsters, Inc., generating power for their city by scaring human children, whose bedrooms they access at night by their closet doors. One little girl named Boo, however, is not scared by Sully and follows him through her closet door into Monstropolis. Sully and Mike hide Boo away from the authorities and make plans to return her to the human world, convinced that she is poisonous to monsters. In time, Sully and Boo develop a touching father-daughter type relationship that leads Sully to save Boo from the grips of the owner of Monsters, Inc, Mr. Waternoose, whose evil plan to kidnap children endangers Boo. Sully returns Boo to the human world; at the end of the movie, Mike finds a way to reunite the two.
