Mr. Magorium is the owner of a fantastical toy store filled with enchantment and wonder. He has quite the most remarkable toy shop around, but Molly, the young manager who has been with the store for several years, has grown rather tired of the place. While she’s quite fond of her boss, she yearns for something different, so she’s both grieved and troubled when he informs her that he is nearly two and a half centuries old and the time has come for him to check out and leave the store to her. He hires an accountant to settle his books and make sure everything is in order, and a romance develops between him and Molly, but they still don’t want him to abandon them.
