Two prominent animated TV families come together as the Rugrats, babies and toddlers who live a secret life while their clueless parents aren’t looking, meet the Thornberries, a family of documentary makers who live much like the Swiss Family Robinson. Adventurous Tommy, nervous Chuckie, bickering twins Phil and Lil and obnoxious older sister Angelica are all along for the ride in this wilderness adventure. Exciting trials await them as they use their strengths to try to make up for their weaknesses, which include the asthmatic tendencies of explorer extraordinaire Nigel Thornberry, as well as the lost sense of smell of Tommy’s dog Spike. Dangerous environmental conditions threaten the children, as do menacing creatures such as a leopard that would love to eat them for dinner.
