Overview

Alex is a priest in an arcane order called Carolingians. When the leader of the order dies a mysterious death, Alex is sent to Rome to investigate the marks on the dead man’s chest, which may indicate the presence of what is called a Sin Eater. A Sin Eater offers a way to get to heaven without the church. Alex asks for the help of an old friend, Father Thomas and an artist that Alex once helped. The three suddenly find themselves in the middle of a mystery and must solve it and find their way out.
